Facility Details

This Nature Preserve is the site of the former Rivers Edge Meat Market and more historically, Kemmeter Brick and Coal. With the assistance of the Fischer and Kemmeter families, the land is an inviting passive nature area. Bald eagles can be seen along the adjacent Rock River. There are two informational signs depicting the property and family history. Amenities include: A fishing pier, 2 benches, a butterfly garden (monarch waystation), garbage cans, bike rack, and picnic tables.
